Beautiful butter bells are often called butter keepers or french butter crocks. Put fresh butter inside the lid and cold fresh water in the bottom cup. The water creates an air-tight seal that keeps your butter fresh cold and spreadable on the countertop.
Change water every day or two to keep it cold and fresh.
